MS Office - Word - Versions

Microsoft Office Suite. That includes WORD.

Anyone know what vintage of Microsoft Office Suite (s) that will operate correctly with VISTA?

Other than 2007. (Too expensive for me).

I see titles such as Office Basic, Home & Office, Standard, etc. I have also seen year titles like: 2003, etc.

All I really need is Word but a suite would be nice. I would like to stick with Microsoft.

Basically, what year 'suite' will work properly with all versions of VISTA.

Open Office, included in the list provided by Midway, works just fine and the files are compatible with MS Office, http://www.openoffice.org/.

To create basic documents you can use Docs and Spreadsheet by Google. You can share documents or even upload and edit your Word Documents. The files are kept online, you get 2.8GB of free space and documents can be access from any PC connected to the Internet.

Just go to www.google.com and type Docs and Spreadsheet.

Rustydog, where are you based? In GB? Are you a student or teacher? If so, see the link below:

http://www.pugh.co.uk/studentsandsta...softselect.htm

You can get Office Professional Plus for £66.98! I ordered in a flash! Much better value than Office Home and student and more powerful than OpenOffice.

I got Office 2007 Home and Student Edition today (via download) and installed it a while ago. It looks nice, I haven't tried it out yet though.
