PassMark wasn't really the issue; it had to do with a driver from 2Wire and just on my laptop, not on my desktop. The 2Wire wireless adapter keeps crashing my laptop. 2Wire is looking into the issue, but in the meantime I'm using the laptop's built in wireless card...the 2Wire adapter gets a stronger signal though.
