Just like IE7, Windows Vista has done away with the old menu bar (File / Edit / View...) in order to make things simpler and less confusing. However, power users will miss the control that the menu bar gave them. Never fear! The menu bar is not really gone...it is simply hidden away.

How do you get it back? Simply press the ALT key! That's right, the ALT key will toggle it on and off. Brilliant!

Great tip Dazzlin. Loosing that functionality would have driven me absolutely crazy. I am very slow to adjust to change.

Sounds kind of interesting, that does frustrate me at times....would you have a screenshot perchance? I don't use Vista beta as my mother works for M$ and I might get in trouble with her if she found me :-D

Why would they get rid of it in the first place? You should have the option of turning on/off via toolbar.
