Command Line Options for Windows Defender?

I have my "PC Maintenance" options set up using command line options. With the release of Windows Defender over Microsoft Antispyware my normal unattended clean-ups and maintenance has hit a small bump. I have tried the scan options with MS Antispyware but to no avail. Those would be -scan, -update.... It does not recognize the options but due to the executable it opens. However, it waits for the user to select scan.
I have searched several web search engines hoping to find someone that has resolved this issue but none are out there.

Can anyone assist me with this?

I had to uninstall Defender because it kept saying that I didn't have a firewall running, when I did (the Windows firewall, in fact). So, hopefully, someone else will have a solution for you. I personally think it's just too buggy at this stage and will improve with time.

Oh, and lest I forget, welcome to the forums!

I disabled it in an earlier build, but it works fine for me now. In any case, I shouldn't have used the term "uninstalled", but should have used "disabled". You can disable it from the Services window. I'm not sure where the Services lives. I always just click on the Start icon, and type in "services" in the search bar (which is just above the Start icon). It finds it for me. Once in Services, find Windows Defender, right-click it, and choose Properties. There, you can change it from Automatic to Disabled.
