| Concerning Windows Vista Live Mail is the option to stop unwanted junk mail. it doesn't work every time as spammers do change addresses constantly, but it sure does provide relief from the clutter. When a junk mail arrives, one can right click it and get the different options to deal with it. Here are some of the options, also see snip: Add sender to safe senders list Add sender's domain (@example.com) to safe senders list Add sender to blocked senders list Add sender's domain (@example.com) to blocked senders list You can choose these options through Windows Vista Live Mail or Live Mail Desktop

| If you are going to use the Window Live Mail Desktop Beta make sure you get the most recent build and it should work fine I have been using it for quite a while with no problems in this build but the previous one had a Hotmail issue. I check all my mail account now with it do not use outlook anymore.Build 8.0.1226 is the new one. |

| I have been testing both Mail and Messenger. I use Outlook Express and it works perfect..even tho both are not compatible with Vista ... Messenger is v8.1.0780.00 and Live Mail is 8.0.1226. bust I like Live Mail is it will check all pop3 mails and hotmail at the same time... special mails (gmail) and it currently is very fast on loading....plus the RSS feeds are great also. think this time MS is going in the right direction. ![]() added the 1 to .1226

| As Airman pointed out, Live Mail Desktop is 8.0.1226. Snuffy, I think you are missing a a "1" there. The latest update was included in the Windows Update download. It has some great options and ability to handle most email clients. I recommend it.
