Windows Mail is a completely overhauled mail client that appears to be very good. It includes the same spam filter that is used on the latest version of Outlook, which will be updated on a regular basis. Most exciting is that it will include a phishing filter, similar to IE7's. This alone should make it worth using. Instant-search is a great addition. As you type, searches update and instantly filter out things that don't match your search (it searches the names, addresses, subjects, and bodies of emails). Tired of corrupting your mail database when your power goes out? No more! If you lose power while updating the database, you won't corrupt the whole mail database; instead, you'll only lose the one entry that it was working on at the time.

| Is Vista going to include a full-fledged mail client comparable to Outlook or will it be a reduced client like outlook express? Never used Outlook or Express much myself. I used Pegasus Mail for years becasue I am weird and now I use thunderbird. |

| Phishing refers to those emails we all get that pretend to be from some bank or paypal or wherever, but really aren't.

| I currently use Thunderbird as my mail client and have an extension installed to detect phishing emails. It works well. So, it can be done via the mail client.
