yeah, thats what i was wondering, his system looked like a laptop to me, since it has a pentium M...

contact dell to see if you can get an upgrade on it, then the hard part is actually finding a laptop video card...

I have searched Dell on my machine, and I don't think the deal is doable internally without sort of rebuilding the machine. I'd love to hear otherwise though.

Oops... course its a laptop didnt take much notice sorry. Cintact dell if you like but its not upgradable without a new mobo I dont think (and each mobo requires a different case usually)

Upgraded to core2duo, new motherboard, ram, hard drives and a super fast card, all components Vista certified. Unlike others I didn't feel the need to upgrade during the last 2 years. All you would get was just another dumb hot dusty old P4. I waited patiently and now I can laught about those with the old timer hardware trying to run Vista.

My laptop might run slow, but still can handle Vista. My desktop will definitely handle it without a problem.

My machines are too new to have Vista capability problems. Unfortunately the integrated graphic in my laptop, like yours, is a tad short of being Aero Glass capable; it's not WDDM compatible. SOB!! But, I didn't really care when I bought it. It does exactly what I need a portable to do. And, Aero Glass is gorgeous on my Desktop.

Many complain that Vista will eat up battery power and run slow on laptops. I agree this will be the case for a while, but thanks to vista we will (hopefully) see new innovations in laptops designed to cope with this It will just make things better

I agree with Crabby about Vista eating up battery power as I already experienced that. Laptop do have become more battery efficient, but the basic battery design has not change at all. I think that with Vista's arrival, battery manufactures will try new innovations and will create longer lasting batteries.
