I have seen a few posts with people wanted to turn off those annoying pop ups that say windows needs your permission to continue... everytime to open just about anything so heres how to turn them off but do it at your own risk! Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change Security Settings > Uncheck the UAC box. Save and restart. ![]() |

| Found a tool which enables you to configure UAC prompts. Check out Vista Companion. Select UAC tab, configure UAC Administrator prompt or UAC User Prompt to "No Prompt". That will get rid of the messages. With this you do not have to turn off UAC altogether. http://www.vistacompanion.com |

| There's always Control Panel > Users Accounts > Turn User Account Control On or Off
