| Microsoft didn’t do a good enough job the first time around with OneCare, and the tests showed it. In the AV-Comparatives On-demand detection of malicious software tests (PDF report) done in August this year, OneCare v1.6 scored just over 90%. That seems quite respectable on its own, but not next to others such as Avast(95%), BitDefender(97%), eScan(97%), F-Secure (97%), NOD32 (97%), and Kaspersky (98%). Why would I give up my FREE Avast(95%) and pay for OneCare PC security suite, retailers believe Windows Live OneCare 2.0 will be with us shortly. Amazon has it listed on its site for pre-order with a shipping date as early as today and a price tag of US$39.99 for a one year subscription (official Microsoft price–$49.95). http://www.geek.com/microsoft-window...ease-imminent/ Available today for only. http://windowsvistablog.com/blogs/wi...bscribers.aspx

| That was an old test, v1.6 its been long gone. You cannot compare OneCare to Avast, as the free Avast is just and antivirus softaware, not a complete suite.
