| All along I've wondered how malware could install, on the sly, with UAC fully turned on? How can malware circumvent the dialog boxes?? Naturally, I'm running a current anivirus because I believe in responsible surfing, but I'd love to know. |

| Yes, exactly! I also came back to this question as soon as I remembered that there are some protective programs that disable Windows Defender, so of course other security measures could be disabled too.
