Thumbs down Security Prompt


Why does Vista prompt every single time I open Task Manager or the MMC. Driving me nutz!!!!!

The default is to not be logged in as the Administrator anymore. If you log in as Admin, it should be fine.

to Vistababble, the prompts you say of are the Vista UAC. What is MMC and how may I ask did you get Vista?

Thanks for the info, but if my username is a member of the Administrators group, then shouldn't that be ok?

Nope, didn't have to pay. Just registered with Microsoft. I've been a Beta tester since XP. Just search on MS site for join the beta.

Can you login as Administrator the same way as XP Pro or is there a new way?

Heres how to stop those from bugging you, they drove me insane!!

Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change Security Settings > Uncheck the UAC box. Save and restart. You wont see them again
