AVG 7.5
Ad-Aware
Spybot S&D
Vista firewall ( until ZA gets up)

( I removed Mcafee, which came installed on my system, slow and clunky not to mention browser problems. Since removal -- system is humming right along)

Off topic ---- but has anyone noticed the bad mouthing going on regarding Vista? Being referred to around the net as "Windows ME II". I googled "Vista failure" this morning --- Wow , lots of disgruntled folks. I like mine !!

I have seen some articles like that DaBear and my veiw is that Vista has some teething problems i admit, but not a chance is it ME number two. I could never go back to XP because Vista is just so brilliant at helping me find my files quicker and organizing my files is a doodle with the new user directory. Vista cant fail for the simple reason its better than XP, Definitely more secure, usable and it has a modern feel to it. The sales figures for Vista have been better than XP's early days to check out this post on my blog http://essentialvista.wordpress.com/...sales-figures/

I dont know what all the comotions about, i love vista most problems with vista are due to people using old software and drivers. Personally i have never had a major problem with vista...well atleast not as bad as the ones with XP (blue screen of death ect.)

I don't know the answer. The program always gets good reviews, and I have never had any spyware on my machine. Remember, all, you need Ad-Aware SE Plus to get the real-time monitoring benefits of Ad-Watch.
