Anyways i think u have some good ideias there crabby, and Glat, come to think of it mate we do still talk about XP alot evan though its usally comments on how bad it is lets hope we wont be like that with vista when it hits the market.......i do however, think that when vista is getting on......say about 5 years from now people will be commenitg on how bad it is simply beacuse things change over the years and i bet its hard to keep up with new technologys when you have a millions if not billions of customers worldwide

I can see now, browsing through the forum, that 38 was the most members ever on lin (about 11 months ago) so maybe 5 or 6 at any one time is OK. Pity the posters names dont change a little sometimes though.

Oh yeh forgot abut that josh lol that show additional clock things. Not like i use it mind, i just count back four hours for USA time evan though i think the west cost of USA is more than 4 hours behind us.....anyway i count back 4 hours and hope they like in New York City or somwere near there :-)

Just for the devil of it, I did a Google search for "Vista Forums" got 46,300,000 hits, and experience with 'Boards" shows that their will only be a few die hard posters on any one board regardless of the number of users.

Many factors come into play that will make a board successful, including the type of board itself.
It takes time to build a board community and a lot of dedication and sleepless nights by the boards admin., to make it work. That interaction between admin., and users, and ease of use are the keys.

Dave, Glad you found the paw print clock useful and have more features than the one with Vista. I especially like the chimes (Since I'm old military I like the Ship Bells Dog Watch) and stopwatch.

As I post this it's 11:26AM (East Coast of U.S...using New York) and 4:26PM in London, or 16:26 Military time. I'm New Jersey a stones throw from NY.

Almost 8 months on from when I created this thread, and just thought I would point out that over 50% of posts are still help by the top 4 posters! These are Znod, Felix, crabby (that's me!!), and Snuffy. Go us! We account for 7950 of the 15761 posts at the time of writing this.

But it doesnt stop there! The top 10 account for just under 2/3rds of all posts! That's over 10,000 posts from 10 member!

And a big thank you to everyone who posts here. You are the reason why we are the best Vista forum there is!
