| So you have only made this bit of the site since last night? Also are loges made of posts if so how long are they left before being wiped, also may we possibly have a who is who for the people who run the site possibly with pictures? Also can search, search past or archived posts, also may we all have a site clock/site official time and we could all meet up for chats hosted by you on a particular topic and at a certain time. Also I would love a Show/Hide commands feature (like in MS Word 2003, to check people have not put more spaces than they need), Also how dose editing your posts work please (as in how is it possible not how to do it). Thanks! |

| I'm not sure I understand all of your questions, but I'll try to answer them as best I can. Yes, we just added the suggestion forum last night, based on your comment. I'd been meaning to do it, but kept forgetting. Posts are around...forever. Unless we delete them for some reason. Or the database crashes, or something like that. I'll consider adding a section called About Us that gives more information about the Vista Babble staff, possibly even with pictures. There is a Search link at the top of each page for you to search past posts. I'm not sure why a clock would be necessary, but if you can give me a good reason to add one, I'll consider it. I have no idea what you mean by a "Show/Hide commands feature (like in MS Word 2003, to check people have not put more spaces than they need)". Again, I'm not sure what you are asking in terms of editing posts. It's possible because the forum software has code built in to allow it. Beyond that, I'm not sure what you are asking.

Right let me try and clear the fog. I will say this and only this concerning logging of posts and threads, I would not want this site to turn into a mini Google (I trust we all have heard the stories, if not well it's up to you to find out ) so might I ask in light of this that you make the terms of post loggings (as you laid out in your last post) to all to understand (some may not know posts are logged like me!). However please note I mean this in a friendly way Next I thank you for considering an 'About Us' possibly with pictures because I feel this will give the users of the site a feel of a 'Vista Guru' (that Guru being you of course! )Now I understand the use of search thank you, silly me! Wow long post regarding sundials and such (time lol) I think it would be very useful for people who have there site time zone and windows time zone set differently to yours therefore it we had two live site clocks we could see EG: Host's time and Your time. So we all know when you are mostly likely to be online or not online. The show hide command thing I can't explain here if there is some way I could send you an Image (larger than site would take) I could explain it to you or I think its called Show All look on View>Toolbars click standard (only do this if it is not already on) Next go to the options on the standard toolbar there is a bit called add/remove buttons I think, pick standard then go down to "Show All" and check it. Now a new button should come click it then on a blank page or where ever u should see a symbol if u click enter I few times and if you go along a page you should see little dots. I find these helpful I think they would not show up after making the post so therefore would not interfere with reading but good when you are making posts! PS: Hope you get it now! And finally this post the size of a Blog come to an end, I was only asking bout how it was done so thank you! PS: Great Site; I just want to help not criticize ok. chears |

| What exactly do you want to Show/Hide? The buttons when writing a post (like Bold, etc.)? Parts of posts? I understand the Show/Hide part, just not what you want to show or hide. I'll consider adding the other items.

well done for hitting your 50th post, in regard to the thread, one will admit that maybe he has explained this wrong. However if anyone else knows what I mean and can explain it better please go ahead I am using word 2003. Note I trust you tried doing my instructions see last post. I am talking about showing and hiding commands in text the symbol for it is like two lines with a hanging down bit on the left don't worry if we can’t get there it was only an idea lol. Anyway I think I will say ![]() |

| It is a little less active as we all sit and wait for either the next release of the beta, or for more information to be released, or for the actual release of the product. Things will pick up a lot in about 8 months. I was never able to get the system time to display, as you suggested, so sorry about that. The rest of the things are "in process".

| Hello Dazzlin 1st may I say that I do not mean to be downing by giving so many suggestions, so if you want I will stop, but I only want to help improve the site for all. Right one of my 1st questions will be can we post about SubVista programs eg: MediaPlayer11, Microsoft-Office2007 and such. Ok next I can finally explain the show/hide thing I think: (This is example from MS help). I see dots and arrows in my document Symptoms In your document, you see dots where there should be spaces, arrows where there should be tabs, and other characters that you don't expect. http://officebeta.iponet.net/global/...ZA100240531033 Cause These symbols are visible when you show the formatting marks in Word. Resolution Hide the formatting marks. On the Write tab, in the Paragraph group, click Show/Hide.The Show/Hide button will not hide all formatting marks if you selected certain marks, such as paragraph marks or spaces, to be displayed at all times. Right I hope that clears the fog! Also I see we can delete posts, what would you say are good reasons for editing/deleting posts. Also I did a search for my own posts and I could not seem to find my intro post so therefore I am asking do post expire after so long, if so after how long? And lastly about the clock thing I was not thinking so much of a clock but more of a way to tell using are time zones when you are mostly likely to be on if I recall you are in the USA? Anyway thank you for your time (As I always say plz tell me if I am being out of line I only suggest for the good of all. |

| Yes, absolutely, you can post about media player, office, etc. Just try to pick the most appropriate forum for it. I now understand the show/hide thing you were talking about, but i'm not sure i'll be able to implement that. I'll see what i can do, though. I am in the USA (CST). Of course, that doesn't necessarily tell you when I'll be on. It can be sporadic - sometimes middle of the night, sometimes not. Still working on the About Us page, as well. I promise I'll get to it.
