1. my mate has this annyoing copying window pop up when he boots into windows.

It says prepering to copy
from to
discovered 0kb(bytes)

and then after a few seconds closes.. anyone know whats cauing it??

and 2. the little red shild in the system tray... how do i get rid of it completely? ive disabled the security center service so now i got a shild telling me its disabled!.. wtf cant it just leave me alone!.. #

Your first problem must be related to a service that loads on startup. To check this, open msconfig.exe and untick the 'load startup items' box. Then reboot and see if it still happens... if it does then it would be a system service which would NOT be ideal

Number 2... if you go to Control panel -> Security center. On the left panel is a link 'Change the way security center alerts me'. Click it and then just click 'Don't notify me and don't display the icon (not recommended)'... sorted!
