As some indicated, it may have been a Server error, however it was not.
As I updated my other 4 computers running 2000pro and XP's without an issue that was being bantered about on Zdnet's Talkack. (Tuesday Update failure)
My first attempt to install 5744 got hosed, second attempt got my problem, and third install resolved it. I also re-burned the last attempt at a 2x speed, and that may have been why the first two attempts gave me problems.

As for Music-match I use Winamp, or WMP as I don't like being spammed to death with the former. Keep in mind the 5744 Build may have improved some software installs, as they catch up, since one of those issues was Kodak Easy Share, that would not install without bugs on 5728, but works great on 5744.
Of the 8 updates only one was Vista related, the rest Office 2003 and Defender.

Ok Z, I DL'd the pgm, 24 + MB's of it, and forced the install contrary to Vista's warning that it had compatibility issues. I got it up, told them I wasn't 13, and after being told to buy this and buy that which I ignored, it's up and running.

I loaded in 5888 songs off my USB attached HD I use for music, which took some time, and as I sit here typing, I'm listening to CCR

I will admit to you that I'm IMPRESSED with the this version compared to a good bit of time ago when I once gave it a shot.

Now I've not burned anything, or really given it a full shakedown, but since you seemed to like it, I figured what the heck, if I can get it to work, then perhaps you could too. So plink yourself to 5744, force the install and let me know how it goes since we're here to help each other out.
