Crabby, Live Messenger works fine. In fact, a link for download comes with 5536. I am talking about MSN, the ISP (the Microsoft version of an AOL type service) That's what I normally use for email and a browser. It's part of my internet package. Version 8 sort of works but is buggy but this version is about 4 years old. Version 9 worked fine with the original Beta 2 (5384)

Ant... your wireless card should work fine, however you may need to grab the drivers before install so you have them on first boot... what card is it? Mojavekroc, I can't seem to find any info on MSN version 9. Does it have another name? And what doesn't work on it now? Sean it sounds like your vista is dumping it's memory occasionally, this is a driver issue... what hardware do you have connected and do you have the most up to date drivers installed? Lol, I need to be around more often... you guys post to fast crabby

Dont think its hardware. Event viewer says it failed to go into sleep mode. Its never done that before with the hardware i got, thats on the 54... somthing build lol. this problem seems to be new to 5536

If it failed to sleep... hmm... right click desktop, personalize, screen saver, change power settings, change when the computer sleeps (on the left) but it does still sound like a hardware conflict... an earlier version of vista had a conflict coming OUT of sleep and that was due to the graphics drivers. Atleast you can stop it from sleeping by doing the above crabby

Crabby, You really have never heard of MSN? It's Microsoft Network.. They have it in the UK http://uk.msn.com/ Here is the link for MSN 9 http://membercenter.msn.com/download.aspx?lm=en-us You would have to have a subscription to make it work. I can't get it to install or work. I am getting an error. Error Registering the OCX C:\Program Files\MsnInstaller\msninst.dll
