I have heard of MSN but never realised it was an ISP. Thanks for the download link. I'll see what I can find out. Can't think of anything off the top of my head bar the obvious 'compatability mode' issue.

Ok so it looks like a registry issue I hate reg issues because they are bloody difficult to get working. The odd thing is the fact that it is trying to register a .dll as a .ocx but hopefully that shouldn't matter with the fix I have in mind. For my information did it fully install and just doesnt run? Or did it b0rk half way through install? What part of the install did you get to etc?

Anyway to register the file:

Go to 'Run' and type: regsvr32 msninst.dll

This is an old fix for previous versions of windows. You may need to add the path to the beginning of the file name. It also may not work at all

Do you have the software installed on xp? If so could you copy the folder THEN register the file... or even better do a reg search in xp for the file and recreate the path in your vista registry (regedit)?
