| You might try clicking "Turn Protected Mode On" to OFF. My webmail also had the same problem... reason they were using a OLD Certificate... which IE seen as STOLEN... I sent the info to my ISP, they updated the certificate. All is OK now... It is your ISP. not Vista... PS: You might also try another browser...

| I don't have an answer for you. But, for future reference, Gateway all-in-the-US support is very good usually. If you don't get an answer that helps the first time, them call back and get a second opinion.

| What you need to do is in IE click tools>internet options>advanced scroll down to the section titled "Security" and disable the following three items: check for publishers certificate revocation check for server certificate revocation warn about certificate address mismatch I am pretty sure there are only 3, but you can check through the list to see if there are any others that mention "certificates" and then disable those as well. There is also a setting on the security tab>custom level "miscellaneous" that has to do with certificates, but I'm pretty sure that one is not for this situation so I wouldn't disable it unless for some reason you have to. I would not suggest leaving these settings disabled as it could be harmful while browsing the internet on sites that really aren't safe, but it will get you in to check your email. You may also consider using Windows mail to retreive your mail for you so that you don't have this problem all of the time. BTW you may need to restart IE to make the settings take effect. ![]() Last edited by flyin_in_the_wind : 01-12-2008 at 05:28 AM. Reason: Forgot something |
