AOL problems

I just installed Vista on a computer and it is having issues with AOL 9.0c (I think) my brother says that Vista keeps shutting down the program, I told him to install ONLY the software that gets him online since AOL has all this other junk that just bloats the system (I dislike AOL), does anyone have simular issues?

Thanks...

Windows vista currently does not support AOL 9.0 well not the UK edition at least. But luckily there is away around it AOL are working on an edition that does and you can download a beta from AOL beta central. i would post a link but it varies depending were u are from but have a look on google for AOL BETA CENTRAL followed by your country and look for a beta called AOL 9.5 , now with it being a beta its is slow and has a few bugs but hey thats old news when AOL is concerned.

Right got it sorted now Guys!

If you live in the UK and you want AOL on Vitsa BETAS go here:

AOL 9.5

http://beta.aol.co.uk/

If you live in the USA and you want AOL on Vista BETAS go here:

AOL Security Edition VC (Vista Candidate I'm guessing it stands for)

http://beta.aol.com/projects.php?project=aol90sevc

Don't have a clue why USA and UK use different versions but i have tried the UK AOL 9.5 Edition and surprisingly it works fine, one major thing that annoys me though is ITS STILL XP STYLE BLUE!, don't go down to well with vista aero but hey if u want AOL right now its the best u can get for vista.

As for the USA edition for obvious reasons i cant test because I'm not American so if there are any Americans who use AOL on Babble and ur thinking of testing AOL Security Edition VC. Tell us what it runs and looks like over in the USA
