| Unless you turn off Vista auto back feature it does it for and at different times. Many times when you have a new install and it sets a new restore point, it will trigger a backup... start --> all programs --> accessories --> backup and restore --> check the settings, it also allows for you to configure to your likeness... I have mine OFF and only use when I want to backup.
