| So if understand correctly, you took your PC to Best Buy and they could not duplicate the issue; is that correct? Do you know if they actually placed a load on the computer, e.g. open some programs and play around with the PC? Without knowing anything about the PC, it is difficult to perform any troubleshooting. I suspect, if Best Buy did in fact troubleshot the PC, that your PC have a video card issue, either with the setup, driver or the card itself. I would start be uninstalling the video driver, restart the PC and let Vista install its default driver. Click Start Button > Right-click Computer > Select Properties > Device Driver > Display Adapter > Right-click the display adapter and select Uninstall > OK it and Restart PC.

| That also sounds like a memory leak problem... but without more details, who knows.. open event viewer and see what is posted in the logs... give us an idea. DL and install Belarc (Free) post the log here, so we can see what is in your system? Remove any drivers that you UPGRADED TO. let Vista install DEFAULT (WDDM) drivers... What version of Vista? Laptop or Desktop?

| A memory leak should had been easy for Best Buy technicans to detect, but we don't know how hard they tried to find the issue. But like Snuffy stated, we need a lot more info than what has been provided.

| The error code is PFN list corrupt. best buy just put it on their analyzer at this point. If I am on the computer for longer than 2 hrs. then I start having problems.. I have also found that if I start by defraging the computer when I first start then I have fewer problems with it freezing. Please keep in mind this computer is not even a week old. thanks for any help you can give me |

| PFN List corrupt errors are usually caused by a corrupt driver. ... Windows XP, Windows NT, 2000, 2003, Windows Vista, Older Windows Versions, Windows 95 ... and others since wayback when. Your lucky your not getting BSOD... check every driver you have install. do ea one at a time.... delete ea one, then reboot, and let Vista find and install the correct driver... might take some time but it does work... Yes, One Driver at a time is recommended...

| I first suspected, and continue to suspect, a video card issue; either with the driver or the card itself. What can you tel us about your monitor? Does it has a generic driver installed?
