Kay, so, I'll fill ya all in. I got this new computer two months ago, and when I got, I was excited, with Vista, and the pure potential of this awesome machine. And for a while, it was. I got it so I could do a thousand different things at once, and I did. Then I put on a program not technically compatible with Vista, and oh, how the problems have plagued me ever since. I got the big ol' blue screen with driver_irql_not_less_than_or_equal on it, and my pc has periodically crashed ever since. In case you wanted to know, I booted the program(a game called The Movies) after a few days of just screwing with it, figuring the problems would go away right after, and not really in any rush. So I did, but it didn't solve it. I really haven't a lot of ideas as to why it's doing this. I'm told it might be a memory problem, but I ran a memory test for a while, and it appeared to be fine. Can't really leave it running that long though, I need the computer for the me livelihood. The problem appeared to start with the game, but now it's more associated with any time I'm running a torrent software, or it looks like it. It still happens when I'm not using it (I've tried a few different ones, so I'm guessing the torrent files have something to do with it), but it's far more consistent whilst running any of them. Weird thing is, I had utorrent before the game, and no real problems, just ultra-slow internet, that does seem to be unique of utorrent, none of the others that work slow down the net anymore than a regular download would. I ignored the problem for quite a while, just avoiding using utorrent, or any others, but yesterday I finally found a program for it I like, and a site with everything I needed in torrent form, plus the first rule of business is manage time efficiently, and I've lost so much time with this, I gotta fix it. So, I've been looking it up all over, not really finding a solution. Updated my BIOS, updated windows with the one that concerns itself with this, KB929777, checked my IRQs for conflict, checked memory, so far, nothin. One (or was ithere 2?) place had suggested checking errors in event viewers. I tried before, but I couldn't tell what was what. I eventually got a little sense and noticed it says nothing until after the event, but it is saying the following driver failed to load-i8042prt multiple times. Actually 26 times in the last 24 hours. So I'd hazard a guess that it's the driver issue me computer has been having, but I can't be certain, because that's the keyboard or mouse driver yes? Well I don't have a mouse, just a tablet, so all's left is the keyboard, but I can't seem to figure if this is actually a cause or not, does anybody know anything more that could help me? Other ways of seeing what's wrong with my pc? Or a way to fix my problem? |

| This is weird, I was kinda doing that just ta see, and AVG was pickin up nada, it hasn't picked up anything since I got it, so I figured there was something wrong with it, I opted for a different software, Kapersky. When I unisntalled AVG, I had to reboot, and right after there was the ole blue screen again, within, notsure, but probably five minutes. I was in the other room. But the weirdest thing is, I've had no crashes since, I know it's only been like 9 hours, but considering in the 24 hours previous to uninstalling, it rebooted 14 times, I'm thinking I may have fixed the problem. Oh, and I ran a scan after, and it did pick up a trojan, which apparently did come from a file I got from utorrent. So that probabl helped, but that wasn't until just an hour ago that I ran that scan. It looks like it's fixed, but I'll keep yall updated. |
