Hi,
I saw the BSOD just a few hours after Vista is installed. Anybody else saw it?

Jain

Not me, and I have been using 5384 a lot. Nothing has made my brown eyes blue yet.

I have had a few unplanned reboots, no screen of death though!

I was told at a Microsoft conference a couple of weeks ago that the BSOD was removed (or being removed) with a far more understandable interface to help resolve the issue.

Any idea what prompted it?

BSODs basically now only happen during a memory dump. For me this happens when using a Hauppauge USB2 DVB box... almost ll BSODs are now driver related so what peripherals do you have? You can stop Windows from rebooting (so you can jott down info) using the advanced system settings (where VM manager is kept).

I have a Harddisk box which connects IDE HDD to USB2. Is that causing problem? What can I do to solve it?

JainMJ, are you still getting the BSOD? Any more info? When it happens?
