| Hi Josh. Thats a new one. Could you give more details. Have you followed the path through to see if it does actually exist? I am not clear as to what Crabby says but it seems that he does not have that path also! As it is the only lead to the start menu items then it is, of course, an essential part of the menu. What did you do prior to losing the menu items? Tongue in cheek suggestion is to log in as Administrator and copy , from the same path, but under Administrator rather than Josh, the whole of the start menu from the Administrator section to your own path. |

| Dave... just check it out... I can't see that it will work for you either (just rename windows update to something else). From what I can tell Vista believes each user has a 'raoming profile' which is, of course, wrong because we are using any sort of networks. The only idea (which would have been completely valid) was to edit the path the shortcut is looking at, but it isnt looking at that path! Its strange to say the least crabby |

I'm running 5744, and I'm with Crabby, that the path indicated in your pic does not exist, at least on my own system, andlooking at the path indicated in that pic. I'm able to rename every single item on my own Start Menu with these exceptions shown in my pic. |
