Deleted USB Hub Drivers (Need Help)

My USB mouse & keyboard was working on and off. This happens regularly on my Windows Vista. So I decided to delete my USB Hub drivers and reinstall.

However not thinking, after deleting those drivers, of course my mouse and keyboard stopped working.

Now when I turn on my computer, neither my mouse or keyboard works. However they do work in the BIOS, and I've went into safe mode, did not work there, went to last known good configuration, did not work there.

Does anyone have an idea what I can do?

BTW, I do not have any serial ports, only USB

Do you have a port for a PS2 mouse?

The USB port might be defective. If the USB device is connected to a defective port, the device will not work. Try plugging the device into a different port. If all the USB ports are being used, unplug a device that you know works, and then plug the problem device into the port that device was using.

If the device is plugged into a secondary USB hub with other USB devices, unplug the device from the hub, and then plug the device directly into a port on your computer.

Thumbs up

You can plug both into the regular mouse/keyboard ports where both will work but without the functionality gained via USB. The keyboard port is color coded Purple and the mouse port is Green. Failing that, have a friend download the drivers for you.
