Display Drivers in Vista

Hi All,

Complicated first post!!!

I want to be able to swap between WDDM drivers & XPDM drivers is there an easy way to do this?

Or is a case of having to re-install the driver I want to use.

Also, how can I tell which driver I have installed?

Thanks a million!

Joowls

You would simply have to reinstall the drivers each time... I wonder why you need the XPDM drivers? Is it for use with MaxiVista?

It's for a USB second display adaptor. With WDDM drivers you cannot extended your deskopt on to the USB device - but with an XPDM driver you can.

Thanks for the info

Is that because WDDM drivers don't support the homogeneous adapters? Sorry it's not really a 'solution' but the XPDM drivers can be installed in compatability mode with no issues... I would probably just use them until a solution is found.

It's something to do with Vista only supporting one display adaptor in WDDM mode!

How can I check what version of driver is installed?

My Nvidia 7300 GS and Vista support 2 displays .. with WDDM drivers.
19" LCD Monitor and 46" HDTV to watch movies... at the same time.

Go to Your Graphic cards settings, and it should say the driver number there.
