If the TV show is online, then no. But, otherwise you will need a cable connection or an amplified antenna to watch TV. It latter cases, I am not sure if you what it though Media Center, but it doesn't much matter where you watch it.

Media Center uses the internet to update is 'Guide' so that you know whats on when. Otherwise you dont need the net to use it. If you cant, give us symptoms
