Hello all, I am currently set as the "secret" Administrator account, while another user on the same computer is the owner. I recently downloaded some videos and converted them with Total Video Converter. The conversion destination was in C:/Users/Administrator. Short of disabling UAC (is that even it?) What could I do to prevent the Owner account from being able to see my erm, clips from "Extreme Home Makeover"? |

| Make sure your account is password protected. Also, make sure you don't place your files in a public or share folder. You can also right-click the file > Select Properties > Under General tab, by Attributes, select Advanced > Encrypt content to secure data (Not sure if this will work for all Vista editions) |

| Encryption is available on Business, Enterprise and Ultimate. But there are a few things you can do to secure your desktop: Setup an account password: Start > Type Users account in Search box and press Enter > Click Create a password for your account. Require password when PC wake: Start > Control panel > Security > Require a password when your computer wakes (Left pane, bottom). Enable secure log on: Start > Type netplwiz in Search box and press ENTER > Advanced tab > Select the Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete check box > Click OK. |

| It prevents malicious applications like viruse and spyware from intercepting your password as it's entered. A keylogger application for eaxample can record every keystroke you make, including when logging in to Vsta. Secure log on prevents this by forcing users to use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to enter the password. It's an added security that can help protect your data. |
