Hello, got a new computer today and am trying to set up 2 monitors, it does not seem to recognize the 2nd monitor, if i plug each one individually they all work fine on solo Dual Graphics Processors - Dual 320MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800 GTS - SLI Enabled is my video card and I have tried to use the dual monitors wizard and stuff like that. I have no option to 'clone' my desktop or configure individually. Does anyone have an idea as to why its not detecting my 2nd monitor? |

| If you clone it is going to be a copy of the desktop, if you extend it will make it look like two screen made into one, or if you do each indivually you can run different apps on different screens I believe is the way it works. I tried it years ago with Hyravision by ATI and with Vista and it is a lot of turning your head from side to side if you know what I mean, but for some people dual monitors is the way to go I am using a 46 inch Sony HDtv for a monitor on my Media System and it works great. Good luck. There is also free software you can use to do what your trying to do but I cannot remember what it is right off the top of my head (UltraMon is the software one of the best they say)

| I have a duel monitor set up (19" and 22" LCD) that works perfectly and both are set to their individual native resolutions. I only have one GPU in my setup, it sounds like you are putting one monitor in each of your two GPUs. You may want to try putting them both in the same one, you should not have any problems. |
