On windows vista I click on a picture,>email>resize>attach
This takes me to hotmail new message, boody of message says 'this message is now ready to send with the following attachment '
But it isnt attached, as attachment box is empty, i then have to click attach on hotmail and do it again. Does anyone have any ideas?

My version does not work exactly that way.
I do not have a resize option.
1. click picture
2. options: 1. compress and email or 2. compresss to and email
2a. attach and email
3. it is then attached to

Which version of Vista?
which version of email are you using?
which compression system are you using?

I tried duplicating the problem using Windows Mail, Live Desktop and Outlook 2007 with their default settings, and all three programs responded well. The emails with the attachments popped up the first time 'Send to email" was selected. I didn't find any security features that would disable sending attachments, but wonder if the virus application could be causing the issue. One way to tell would be disabling the anti-virus software and then trying duplicating the problem.

What gets me is how is he actually doing this.

What program is he starting the photos from... I do not have a RESIZE, they way he says he is starting...I do not think the instructions are Correct, if they are please correct me.

Now if I open the photo with "photo shop gallery", "email" , "attach", "size" it still works perfect and attaches every time.

Thanks for your help so far, sorry if i confused, here is my problem...
I go to my pictures, then select a picture.
I click on email .
A box comes up that says, attach, and I select the smallest size, and click attach.
This then opens up my email log in box, which then takes me to new message in hotmail. Email body shows message 'this email is ready to send with the following attachment.......'
But the picture has not attached, as the attachment box is empty. I have to re attach in hotmail.
I am running windows vista home premium.
Thank you for your help, i will in the meantime try to dissable anti virus.

Sorry, just had an email from hotmail, they listed how internet settings should be set up, I followed their instructions and its now attaching pictures.
