HD space being eaten...

Since I got this computer i've been noticing that everyday Half a gig to 2 gig's of hard driver space are being eaten up. First thing I did was clear out all of the temp files on the drive. When I checked back those files didn’t even take up a quarter of the eaten space. This is really starting to bug me since its happening pretty much everyday. If anyone has some info or a fix please let me know. Thanks!

Intel Celeron 2.93
1 Gig of ram
WD 160 Gig HD
ATI Radeon 9250
Windows Vista build 5600
