I don't see that problem you're having, as typing in the search box, gives me the option of either see attached. Am I missing something here?

A thought. You know there are two help links. The one is where you click the "Aura" start symbol bottom left of desktop, another in the start menu programs themselves, under maintenance. Try that if you havn't already.

I know some of you will disagree with this assessment, but keep in mind that we are running Vista Beta for one. Two, the inter-connection of operations within Vista are such, that when you install Firefox2 as another browser and let it take over, it creates havoc with those OS interconnections.

It wipes out the connecting links between IE7 Vista (not the same IE7 as in XP) not to mention other operations. I can assure you that Firefox2, is not stable within Vista, and if you haven't had bugs as yet, count on getting them.

Firefox2 is open-source, and has been programmed to interfere with IE7, and is not integrated as it should be with VISTA or even XP. If I was running Ubuntu, then I'd use Opera or Firefox but with trepidation. So don't wonder why you can't get certain links that are tied into IE7 to work properly.

I may get FF bugs, but, AFAIK, I haven't had one beginning with 5384. I might be too buggy with all the meds I am having to take to know if I have bugs though.

I prefer computer bug, as they are fun to find and dismantle, and they tweek my Sious/German mind. However bugs that require meds are not fiun, and tongue-in-cheek as your comment is, lets hope they ae doing some good.

Hi Galt

I am aware of the beta nature of both FF and Vista, and understand that issues can arise from the use of both. However, this issue was present even before FF was put anywhere near my system and my install of vista was a full fresh one(did a 3 x pass format of the hard drive before installing).

I actually installed FF to see whether i could get the help function to work correctly as IE7 wasn't doing its thing. What I'm really after is to see whether anyone else has experienced this bug and whether a possible fix has been found.

I didn't realize that you had the problem prior to FF being installed, looking back at your first two posts. The second indicating you tried FF to see if it would work.
I did have an issue with clicking on "Help and Support" as the menu would not come up, but that was on RC1 first build. The "start search' bar however worked OK, as did any request for help from windows that were opened with the 'get hep' button. I did some searching online to see if anyone else was having problems with the help function to no avail, but since I had that one issue, that indicates that a bug does exist.

My experience with FF still stands however.

What Vista Build are you presently using?

I did get this "bug" on an earlier installation. Unfortunately I cannot help feverpitch. I battled with the problem for a while but it vanished in a reloading of an earlier image.

I have been trying to simulate this (never give up) but unable to. But I believe the problem might be with your particular internet connection setup. Try this. Open Internet Explorer (on any known page - how about this one) Now try help and support.
