Help with Voice

Having a problem with the speech recognition part of Vista. It worked fine until I moved my files from the old computer to the new. Now I can't get to do anything. Some of the things its tells are “recognizer language must match the language of user interface, then "please select a different engine and/or a different audio device." For what ever reason it will not let me do any of that. What am I doing wring? Help.

I don't use this utility, but you may first want to verify that the language interface is set correctly.

Start > Type Language in Search Box > Click Regional and Language Options when display.

I use this feature all the time...I don't how transfering files would stop voice recognition from working.

Try selecting a different recording device or have you only got one?

No guarantees, but I suspect that performing a repair install would solve your problem. Just reinstall Vista from within Vista. Back up first to be safe--as when doing any kind of install.

Just run the Vista installer after having started up to Vista/your hard disk.

While your booted up and in Vista... insert your Vista DVD into the DVD reader. When ask say upgrade.. then follow the rest of the instructions.
