IE 7 Problems

I just got a new laptop last night and it has vista and IE 7. My other computers dont have either of them so I'm still finding my way around it. But I am having a problem with it not loading some websites. It acts like it isn't able to find the website and sits there trying to load for a few then tells me it cannot be found. Yet other websites will load fine with no delay. I'm connecting threw the internet with a router and DSL. Some of the sites I have noticed that it won't load so far are yahoo.com and newegg.com these are the only ones i have found so far. Any ideas why it is not loading these sites because I am racking my brain trying to figure it out because it doesnt make sence that it won't load something like that and my other computers will fine. Thanks for the help.

First thing to try would be a different browser. That way you will know if it is IE7 or a Vista setting.

Send a message via MSN to Snuffy

1st thing to do is DISABLE PHISHING... it takes hours for that to work.

open tools --> phishing --> turn off
(IMHO) the worse addon for IE7.

I have Phishing enable on both of my computers and have not encountered any issues. You may try this here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926431

Just in case you did not read my post: I have Phishing enable on both of my computers and have not encountered any issues. You may try this here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926431"

By the way, disableling the firewall is a very bad idea.

It was enabled to start with and was not working I disabled it and is still not working I tired it agian and it is still not working. I can go to launch.com which is part of music.yahoo.com but you have to log into yahoo to use the site and it will not go to the login page. I can open firefox at the same time and yahoo.com will open right away.

Make sure that those sites have not found there way on your blocked list? Can you go to mail.yahoo.com or my.yahoo.com? Does hitting refresh or F5 get the site loaded?

Maybe you can try adding those sites to IE7 trusted sites. Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Trusted sites > Type address in "Add this website to the zone" box. May have to uncheck "Require server verification..." box.
