Internet Links .... dont work well

Hi,
I have a problem with some type of internet links. For exapmle my statistic page like this http://stats.radoxist.com/ , but not all the time, sometimes it works. I think it has notnig to do with the server, I had never a problem with this on my XP.
And also something like 20% internet links dont work as well, sometimes it helps to delete the WWW from the link and it work. but not all

Do you have any clues.......

P.S. also the links from my Email, or ICQ are opening in IE even though I have Opera set to my standard web browser. I have seen the solution for this somewhere, but I cannot find it now .......

THANKS
-radoxist

The link works fine for me just as you posted... only thing it need a log/pass for me to enter.

1. and if the site is not WWW then why would you put www in front.

2. remove the default check from IE.. and it will not check every time you open a browser... Opera to DEFAULT...

Opera JavaScript Flaw

Opera patches JavaScript flaw
By Justin Mann, TechSpot.com
Published: August 15, 2007, 6:00 PM EST
-
A critical flaw has been patched by the Opera team, the same day in which Secunia reported it existed. The Secunia advisory warned of a JavaScript flaw in version 9 of the Opera browser, one bad enough to earn the “Critical” rating and having the potential to result in system compromise.

What makes the fix actually interesting, however, is how the Opera team discovered the flaw. It was done through to use of a recently released tool that the Mozilla corporation made available:

Fortunately, Opera already knew about the problem and on Wednesday released a more secure version of Opera, version 9.23. How did it know? The Norwegian browser company said it used a tool that was released during this year's Black Hat USA by rival Mozilla, the makers of the Firefox browser.

That is somewhat surprising, and shows some very quick adoption rates to the tool Mozilla is offering. Perhaps Microsoft is tinkering with the tool as well? If you are using the Opera browser, you should upgrade to 9.23 today.

You can try the following: Click Start > Type Default Programs in the Search box and hit Enter > Select the program you want to use as default, e.g. Opera > Now, select either one of these two options; "Set this program as default" or "Choose defaults for this program" > Follow instrcutions.

Snuffy - yes the link was fine with you(the pass is Ok, it should be like that), but Im getting an error page
1. but the links that dont work HAVE a www in front of them normaly - when I delete the www they work somethimes.
BUT the links which are in the same format something like http://xxxxx.xxxxx.com, they dont work

And it has nothing to do with the Opera, it is all the same in IE, Mozilla, Opera (I have 9,23)

THANKS anyway

felix8406 - Thanks, I tried this but did not work I remeber that it should be something installed to have the links opened just in Opera, it was something that start with letter E

Is there some special reason you use "Opera". I use IE, always have, never had any problems with v 7.x and even using the IE7 Pro addon.
but if you want to test send the actual links that do not work for you that are WWW. also what is the error that Opera gives you... surely they give something like 404 or 505 or ????????
If the links are ????? then you can send to me in email or msg thru here.
If you want...
Now by some reason, if your sites have been logged as "Phishing Sites" you have to TURN OFF PHISHING Filter.
open IE, tools --> phishing filter --> turn it OFF. then try "Opera"

Configuring Agent to use Opera for opening web pages
Normally, Forté Agent uses the Windows Default Browser setting, which is shared between every application, to figure out what to open web pages in. If you want to use Opera as the default web browser on your computer, refer to the article Making Opera your default browser.

In some cases, you might want to set up an association only in Forté Agent, and let other programs use another browser. To do this, follow these steps:

In Forte Agent, select Tools > Options > URL and MIME Settings > URL types
Under How to launch the URL, choose Use custom settings (below)
Under Custom Settings, do the following:
In the text box for Application, enter the full path to where Opera is installed, for example "C:\Program Files\Opera 9\Opera.exe".
Check the Use DDE box.
The remaining fields should have the following values:
DDE Message: "%1"
Application: Opera

If it happens with every browser you have and or use... your either have
a. trojan
b. Virus,
c. a corrupt Vista...

1. I'd open start --> cmd (run as admin) type SFC /scannow and see if it can find a Corrupt system file. (NO)
2. Try a complete REPAIR using the Install DVD. (NO)
3. Run every Trojan cleaner you can find. (NO)
4. Run a complete Virus check. (NO)
5. FORMAT and do a complete Clean install.

How do you connect to the internet? Through a router? Through a modem?

As you are connected through a router it might be a proxy issue. Try changing your connection settings in internet options -> connections -> LAN settings. What is your current setting? If the automatically detect settings is ticked then untick it or vice versa.
