I own an LG VX8700 mobile phone with bluetooth. I recently completely reinstalled Vista on my IBM ThinkPad T60p because I wanted to get rid of all of the crapware that was preinstalled. Before the reinstall, my phone would easily sync with my computer via bluetooth so that I could use it as a mass storage device, but since the reinstall it does not recognize the phone and I am unable to find the necessary driver (I'm assuming that this is the problem). I have installed all windows and lenovo updates, and downloaded the lenovo driver package for my specific computer. Am I missing something? Is there something I need to do that I don't know about? Thanks. |

| Microsoft + Bluetooth = Disaster, I have always had problems with sync and fire transfer with every phone I have had with bluetooth. It seems to me that Microsoft just don't seem to provide some of the drivers for some bluetooth devices. Is it a Windows Mobile Device? If so, you should download the Windows Mobile Device Update from the microsoft site, it often fix problems with mobile devices running Windows Mobile. |

| No it runs on a standard LG/Verizon OS, no smartphone capabilities or anything. I just don't know where to look for the missing driver - although I know it exists (because it worked before the reinstall) it seems to have disappeared. |

| Bluetooth is universal. Each device holds its own firmware. So are you actually sure your BLUETOOTH device is up to date? I believe that's where the problem lies. Here's a link to your driver page (updated 08/18/2007): http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-62928 crabby |
