My husband is visually handicapped and relies on the magnifier. He opened it on our new laptop and set the level of maqgnification too high. We are unable to find a method of reducing it.

When you open the magnifier, a little box called magnifier will appear at the bottom of the screen on the task bar. If you click that you will be able to see all the settings, including the scale factor. The minimum factor it can be set to is 2x. I have attached some pictures to help you.
