msrdp.ocx problem

Hello everyone, I hope you can give me an idea of how to solve this problem in Windows Vista. I have installed an application that uses the remote desktop connection, but it gives me an error message saying that the version of the msrd.ocx may be outdated. I am using windows vista business, but when I load the same application in another machine using Windows XP there is no problem.

I hope you can help me on this, I'll appreciate it a lot

Are you up to date on Windows Updates? Or, have you installed SP1?

Hello Znod, I have all the updates, however I don't have sp1 installed, at least KB936330 doesn't appear on the installed updates window, so I'm downloading it right now. I'll post a message when I'm done.

You are very welcome. But, I offer no guarantees that SP1 will solve your problem. Just maybe. Personally, I would install SP1 with the standalone updater even though doing so will take much more time given that your updates are up to date.

Hello Znod, I installed sp1, but the problem persists. The thing is that the application connects fine when its on windows XP, so maybe it's some kind of compatibility problem. I'll keep looking but I'll appreciate if you have any other idea.
Thanks!
