| I've used DRTCP with XP but never with Vista. I'm also getting the same speeds under vista I was getting with XP (Through a router to a cable modem) which leads me to think that maybe this could be a driver issue with your phone. Have you looked to see if the manufacturer has released actual vista drivers? |

| All the info you have ask about basically is not needed for Vista.. Every test I have made with Vista in compared to XP, is Vista wins hands down.. The links you posted will explain all that you need to know... and probably better than most here... Since using Vista from Beta early to now, I have yet to need to try and optimize Vista's Internet settings.... they work GREAT as they are... (IMHO) Leave Vista Internet setting alone...

| There are many reasons for slow connections: 1. Spyware and Viruses, especially, in the case of spyware, if there’s more than one spyware running at the same time. 2. Add-on applications. 3. Amount of RAM. 4. HD storage space...not enough free space. 5. Condition of the HD. 6. Running applications 7. Browsers add-ons Run an anti-spyware application regularly. Close any applications that you may not need, or stop applications from starting automatically during startup. Make sure you have enough free space on your hard drive and defrag it regularly. Open IE7, go to tools and select Manage Add-ons. |
