In general, this is just a no drivers issue.

Granted it's an old Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S50, but I was wondering how I could obtain any driver that would make this camera work.

I did google this and I was unable to find any relevant information.

How do I proceed, I hate to buy a new camera while this one works just fine for my needs.

I can suggest but one thing... try installing the latest driver from here: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu..._id=16&ULA=YES in compatability mode.

Once it is downloaded, right click the .exe -> Properties -> Compatability -> Run in compatability mode for XP SP2
