Nvidia setup fail in Vista 32bit

Hey.
I'v been searching arround on web and still haven't figured out how to solve my Problem with the Nvidia Drivers and Windows Vista 32 bit.

When i am trying to install the drivers i get this Message : The NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your hardware. Setup will now exit.

I Use a 8800gts 512 and Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP 1

Anyone here that have had the same Problem and acctually got this solved? I have Tried reinstall Windows twice and no Help. also used all the drivers I can find for that card and non work.

Did work Perfect When I had Windows XP Home edition SP2.

If it is the right driver, try the one that is available on Windows Update.

Hey.

Nvidia Driver at Windows Update? Haven't Noticed anything to that and can't find any. a Link had been Nice. This Problem really Frustrate me, and I are new to Vista and kinda noob at it at moment.

When i look in my Device manager I i have no Display adapter, and all drivers no mather wich i keep getting my error message over and over again, I had a old ati pci express and that one worked as it should.... Microsoft or Nvidia must have an hotfix or something out there. I can't seem to find any.

René

I had no Problems with the ati x1800xt i had (sold now) so only the Nvidia driver that are Bugged. Worked Perfectly on Windows Home edition sp2

NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Automatically Detect NVIDIA Products

Try this link, it will automatically find the right drivers for you.

Let us know if it works.

And if it doesnt, please check device manager to see whether your g card is shown correctly. If it itsn't try re-connecting it and it's power supply (the 6 pin PCI-e connector)

Hey.

I tried go to that page as u sayd crabby But It says it is unable to scan. =S
I took out my graphic card and the power connection to it, then booted pc without, shuted it down, took it in again, and booted windows, then i got a message need to install unknown device, and it failed. Tried use browse and use one of the nvidida drivers that where unpacked, Forceware 169.25, But not any help....
Under Device manager It Says NO display adapter, and it says listend longer down two unknown devices that I can't Install no mather what i do.. Prolly one of them are some raid driver. and the other may be my graphic card i think.

I think it is as well. That's not good. Try installing the drivers manually? When you first download the driver it extracts to a folder. Try 'manually choose driver' option in device manager and see if ti sticks. If it doesn't then it's a hardware problem.

Hey.

I tried that first crabby and it din't go. But I now Took my ati x600 card and tested with that again, installed the newest ati drivers and so on, then i turned pc off. took in the nvidia and started pc again, when booted up i got a message from catalyst that it could not run bla bla bla cause of no ati card. whent into device manager and there it whas, standard vga drive or something, then i right click update driver and pointed it to a nvidia folder with unpacked driver files and there. Working as it should
