| when you setup outlook instead of trying to read from the old pst file create a new one and import from the old pst file. Now before you do anything at all make sure you make a backup copy of the pst file on DVD or CD so you don't lose any data.

| Should the pst file keep you from being able to check for new mail though? It has been a while since I jacked around with PST files, but it seems like new mail should still be coming in. What kind of feedback is outlook giving you when you check for mail? |
