please help drivers problem!


i have second time this problem on vista

keyboard and touchpad stopped working on my laptop... last time i had the same problem with desktop pc but then i opened device manager using voice commands :P and used rollback driver
but this time i can use usb mouse but this rollback is disabled and it says keyboard is unknown device and icant use update keyboard because its unknown device ... i tried to reinstall vista but i have to press any key to boot from dvd...

please help me to recover my notebooks keyboard driver then i can uninstall windows and format C

Perhaps you can navigate to, and on, you laptop manufacturers site, with mouse alone, well enough to find, download, and install a driver. Also, you could try buying an inexpensive keyboard and see if plug an play would install it. Finally, depending on the version of Vista you have, you can reinstall it by running the install program from within Vista, itself (i.e., upgrade your current version to itself). Good luck.

manufactures/shop says only that i have keyboard pro est and touchpad with 2buttons

if i run windows setup then im getting error at (about)50% coping files and then setup closes

Whats the manufacturer and model number? I will have a look for a solution.

Do you still have your original CDs that came with the laptop? If so, you could install from them with compatability mode?

Can try this

I had a problem with my Compaq touch pad not working in Vista. I uninstalled the software that it came with and rebooted and Vista just recogonised it.

Coolzero, that may actually fix the problem. I had a similar issue with my Dell Laptop and uninstalling the software did the trick also.

i uninstalled keyboard driver and still nothing..
i dont know the manufacture but its bought from Microlink Estonia serial number N730
has intel motherboard 945PM or smth like that
i also got pass that vista setup error and reinstalled windows and still keyboard and touchpad not working :P

posted somewhere else:

on friday i turned of my laptop and when i came back in few hours and i
opened up my screen the keyboard and touchpad wasnt working

I made few restarts i tried to reinstall windows vista
and i tried to use keyboard while booting up windows but nothing


only USB optical mouse is working. I downloaded all drivers for
keyboards and touchpads but nothing.. i had the same problem with my
desktop PC few months ago but then i used voice commands to roll back
driver and updated all drivers again and everything were ok!...
but now i cant see any drivers under keyboard and theres no roll back
option for touchpad and keyboard.. i tried to update but it says
unknown device:S


I ran windows setup again and nothing.. still no response with touchpad
and keyboard only with USB optical mouse.


i have Laptop 14,1"
100GB harddrive 5200rpm
DVD/RW+- rom
intel core duo T2300E or smth like that
1GB Ram DDr2
Windows Vista Ultimate
Ati X1600 videocard


What should i do .. could it be something with BIOS ?.. and what should
i do.. i cant use any keys while booting up and no floppy rom

i just found out that some function keys are working
i can darken and brighten screen using f6 an7 while holding fn key
f1+fn is wifi on and off
f11+fn puts notebook to sleep
