| Since the page indicates that all the drivers would be the same, it should not make any difference. If you can chose the one closest to your version. I have found once in a while, its best to download the driver. I save all my drivers to x:\MyStuff\drivers\printers or Lan or Sound or Bios . I keep all drivers in one spot, and only separate via sub directories. makes it much easier to find... then if it fails on normal install, INSTALL AS ADMIN. Vista is funny that way.... I also have a bat file that turns off UAC for emergencies, then I turn it back on. there also is a 3rd party program which will do this... but I use my own. I trust me. What bothers me is you can not DL and install the MS Update driver for this item. It might be due to a corrupt file somewhere... have you tried start --> cmd (run as admin) --> sfc /scannow ( have your install DVD ready). let us know ... reference your error Quote:
