Printer problem!

Have just installede a new machine with Vista home basic, and almost everything works, the problem is the usb printer (HP Color Laserjet 2550).

I can se that Vista have found it as kompatible and maybe installed it as it shows up under ieee 12... kompatible printer, but it wount show up in the printer folder.

Any ideas for a solution?

Ok, I think it may be a driver problem..there are three types of Laserjet 2550.
Can you tell whether your printer is:

LaserJet 2550L
LaserJet 2550Ln
LaserJet 2550n

Let me know, thanks.

Try this; Use this link to go to the website > http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...&swEnvOID=2093 > Under Useful links, click "Automatically check if your drivers need updating (MS Windows only)" > Follow instructions

How are you updating your drivers? step by step info.
Why will the update driver not install?
The Error code or exactly what happens would be helpful.
