| Your Vista version is running in reduced functionality mode; things won't get better until you active with a valid product key.

| Well, if so, then that is the problem. You can install Vista on only one computer at a time using the same product key.

| You are very welcome. I say call your manufacturer first off. Didn't Vista come installed? Edit: I am tired; I I accidentally edited Vejay's post. He mentioned that his computer is new out of the box and, thus, that the key shouldn't already have been used. He also mentioned that he would need to arrange an exchange. I replied as above. Sorry Vejay. I'll try to be more careful. I was up all night, or most of it, playing with my new installation and finishing it up.

| New Out of BOX, makes very little difference today.. on the Pirate Sites, lots of people claim it is very easy to...go to (shop or store) insert the name your self... machines there are running Vista on Display.. guess what the KEY is also listed in plain site, either copy with pen to paper (takes some guts) or snap a pic with your small digital camera... insert your USB Flash drive run key finder... copy and save to flash drive. Now you have a 100% legal KEY for version you want... and 99% of the people are running.. ULTIMATE.. and for a few dollars you can buy almost any KEY from any OEM site... the average cost for any key is use PAYPAL and send $10.00 to $20.00, and the KEY is GUARANTEED to install and activate.... (What a RIP) but folks it is TRUE...
