Random Flashing

For some reason, recently the screen has been flashing at random times (although I have noticed flashing when changing the background) even though I've downloaded the latest driver update through Windows Update.
This never happened before this latest driver came along.

My graphics card is a Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset.

I have been experiencing the same on this side. Mostly when switching from one site to another, or opening a document. It's happening on both, my laptop and desktop computers.

Have seen nothing on the desktop, and using the latest Vista (WDDM) driver for NVidia 7600 GS Video card.

does your Event Viewer have any ERRORS showing since the upgrade?

Wow, just had a look in the event viewer and have had 18 events just today!
Nine of them being errors, eight warnings and a critcial...doesn't sound too good.

I couldn't really tell you since the upgrade because I've had loads of errors even before the update...328 errors to be exact.
That is not normal is it?

How do you get the results of how many events in total shown so I can post mine on here?

Sorry, lost my wireless network somehow and got disconnected. Just type Event Viewer in the Search box and hit Enter. It shows up automatically, at least on this side.

I don't know about the warnings and critical errors, the others are probably not that much of a concern. I just have a few on my desktop because the all-in-one printer is off. So it shows many errors for each of the printers applications; printing, scanning, etc.

Unhappy Error are so you can learn - I simply forgot

MANY errors are just junk, like I get all the time two errors on PCI2 and PCI5.
they are due to SLI enabled Video I only have one card and the bypass card therefore I get those errors...
I also get errors which I can view and find that some updates when I check them try to install, only to show that I have a newer version on hand...
The ones I worry about are the CRITICAL ERRORS.

<Data Name="SummaryCount">267</Data>
<Data Name="Summary">Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD. <P/><P/>Warning: If you decide to delete the newer version of Windows that is currently installed on your computer, the files and settings cannot be recovered.</Data>
This happens if I have autorun set and insert a CD/DVD with an older version of OS. I had to find a file on (wow) XP (RTM) for a guy and guess what that gives me the error as shown above.
