I put a CD in the drive today and the box came up and said for me to drag and drop files to be burned to the cd. There are pictures on that CD-I put it in my other computer with XP to make sure and yep, there they are. I put in another CD and it shows half of the pictures. The other half it shows the folder for but says it is empty. I place that CD in my other (XP) computer and viola-there they are. What is up? |

| I don't know much about recording pictures, but it appears that your CD recording was never finalized by the burning software. The burn CD must be finalized to be used with other DVD or CD ROM. |

| Not really, the CD has been formated under "packet writing", and Vista has the ability to understand where as XP was slightly vague. Another first for Vista...

| Auto run is something that is in windows, and the Burner program has the ability to turn on or off. and some burners can not read "packet" and some can... drop & drag is called "Packet" and you can use any DVD or CD if they are formatted for Packet writing...just like a floppy...(only when the CD/DVD is full it is Full.) you can re format a floppy or a CD-rw or dvd-rw.. Nero has packet with INCD and Easy DVD has packet, and some others, but your computer must have the ability to READ packet (not all can)..before it can...Vista Ultimate has packet read/writing installed. 1st session is packet... and left open... 2nd session is packet and finishes session 1 before it starts. 2nd session is left open. 3rd session is packet and finishes session 2 before it starts. 3rd session is left open...
