Unhappy Sleep Mode Problems

I'm having problems getting Vista to go into sleep mode.
Sometimes when I click on sleep it:-

- Logs Off
- Turns the Monitor Off and Hangs

I think sleep has only worked a couple of times since I've had Vista.

Is anyone else getting the same/similar problem?

Mine works fine... as does most peoples here. Many people had issues with old video drivers and sleep mode, so you may want to get the most up to date ones and see if it helps

I sleep my laptop a great deal--with no problem. But early on, I had trouble waking my desktop up after sleep--so I quit sleeping it. I have not problem putting it to sleep though.

Lightbulb Bad Drivers from NVidia Site...

I have had similar problems, and periodically strange blotches running up/down the screen...
Removed the NVidia Driver v9746... rebooted and let MS set the driver it wanted... Yes, MS Driver is v97.46 but SLEEP, & WAKE UP are ok now,
AND ON boot the strange lines and hash bars are gone...colors are now clean and clear...I still think some DL's from NVidia are BAD... on this FORUM and several others ppl are complaining about NVidia Drivers....

Ok back to the start...it's doing it again, it only sleeped when I asked it to just after I installed the updated graphics driver and tried it a few more times just to be sure it works and it did...but after a reboot..(you can kinda guess) it's doing it again!

How do I send a bug report to Microsoft about this?

felix8406 will become famous soon enough

Had you gone to the BIOS and check the setup? Each motherboard setup differs from one another, so you may want to verify the documentation that came with yours, or go to the manufacture website.
